Are Women's Rights Human Rights?

Picture
Poster made using 'Canva'
Human Rights Watch says:
"Despite great strides made by the international women’s rights movement over many years, women and girls around the world are still married as children or trafficked into forced labor and sex slavery. They are refused access to education and political participation, and some are trapped in conflicts where rape is perpetrated as a weapon of war. Around the world, deaths related to pregnancy and childbirth are needlessly high, and women are prevented from making deeply personal choices in their private lives"

Hi there Kait,

I have found your post one of the most interesting so far in the Flipboard Magazine. You have made your poster simple with not that much information but it means a lot to those who have to marry before eighteen. I also like the ending part that adds some more details to what is happening.

Thanks,
Phakamon

Hello Phakamon!

I like making things simple. To me, when I make it complex. It confuses me, so I make it simple. Thank you for commenting on my post Phakamon!

Hi there Angel!

The reason I am interested in this topic is because I believe that women should be able to do the same thing as men. I am tired of hearing that women in some countries are not allowed to do certain things. I also don't like it when they do it in my school. Once, someone asked all of the boys in my class to help move plastic chairs. Some of the girls went anyways because we wanted to help.

I hope I answered your question Angel! Have a nice day!

Dear Kait, You have a great poster there, it not only is informative but it also makes you think. Sometimes being in your own bubble make you ignorant to the struggles of people, and in this case women around the world. In the country I live, Senegal, it is a very male dominated society where women usually stay at home to look after kids. It's not right and needs changing, hopefully that can come through education.

Thank you

Joshua

Hello Joshua,

I am glad you think that it's not right to put a limit for women. I agree when you say that hopefully women's rights changes by education. Schools should be teaching kids that they can do anything they want to do, not set limits for them.

Good day Joshua!

Hi Kait!
I really liked this post about women's rights because I believe that women should have the same job opurtunities as men. I was suprised by the fact that women in Saudi Arabia used to not be able to drive, but I'm very glad that they can now. Go visit my blog at crwen92d.edublogs.org! Thanks!

Hi Catherine!

I was surprised too when I found out that women in Saudi Arabia weren't able to drive. I'm glad you agree that women should have the same job opportunities as men. Thanks for commenting Catherine.

Have a nice day!
