Evaluating The Blogging Challenge Which post did I find most interesting?
Well, I really found all the posts quite interesting. There’s no post that I didn’t find interesting. How often do I visit other blogs and comment? I didn't really visit other blogs that much since I was busy with other school activities. Do I read the flipboard magazine of the Blogging Challenge? As a matter of fact, I do. I always look at it whenever there are new posts published. What did you learn from the Blogging Challenge? I learned a lot. Some examples are below: 1. Java script 2. HTML 3. Evaluating My Blog How many posts have I written?
I counted, and I have exactly 28 posts. If I include this post and the next post it will become 30 posts. I was surprised when I counted because my first post was very short and the more I got closer to the newest posts. It got longer. Then it went back to short. It’s funny really. How many were school based? I believe there aren’t any activities that were given to my classmates and I for the challenge. All the posts are from the challenge. How many are made by myself? Well, when we had the Free Choices challenge, I guess those were of my own interests. Like, my Should Junk Food Be Banned In Schools, Imaginary Tour Guide, and Imaginary Interview posts. Those three were of my own interests. How many comments do I have? Not including my replies there are a total of 31 comments. They are either from my classmates, or other students in the Blogging Challenge. Which post has the most comments? The post with the most comments would be my Week 1 – About Me. It has 7 comments and if you include my replies there are 11. I think the reason behind that is because it’s my very first post. So a lot of people are going to want to see the first post. Then once they read it they comment. And I try my best replying. Which post did I like writing/making the most? (I call it The Chosen Post). The post I that I like making is my Week 3 Activity 3 – Finish the Story. I like making it because I like writing stories. They let me express my imagination. Did I change my blog theme? When you say “blog theme” do you mean the background or my style of making posts? I’ll answer as both. I didn’t change the background or anything. I only added more people in my “Other Blogs” list. As for my style of posts, I believe that my writing has gotten better then it was before. How many widgets do I have? I have one widget, which is my Revolver Globe. I think it’s enough because it tells me how many visits there are and from where. Plus I can explore it and go crazy. I love it when I just make it spin really fast. I don’t even know why I do it. How many overseas students do I have in my blog roll? I have 5 overseas students in my blog roll and Jenn is my favorite. Which web tools did I use to show my creativity? I have used Cartoonify for my avatar. Biteable and PowToon for my videos. Slideshow Maker for the slideshows. For the common license pictures I use, Wikimedia Commons, Pixabay, Photos For Class, and Open Clipart. For my “Ideal School” post picture I used PaintX Lite and made it myself. For my family members’ avatars I used VonVon. That’s all for today! Any questions? Ask and I’ll answer! Jennifer's Blog My Favorite Blog My favorite blog would be Jennifer’s blog. There are a lot of things that seem interesting to me.
One of the most interesting post to me would be her 73 Questions post. Another post I like would be her Cats post. She gives a lot of information about different cat breeds and at the end she gives facts about cats. She made a Jigsaw Puzzle as one of her post. It’s really interesting and fun. I like it because the picture is of a dog. That dog reminds me of Bailey, my Golden Retriever, which I had when I was very, very little. It also reminds me of Belle, my Labrador which is still here with me. Jenn makes very interesting posts and is quite good at it. I like how she always seems as if she’s trying to make it as fascinating as possible. Jenn, if you are reading this, then I would like to say good job and continue to do what you do! Do you have a favorite blog? Why do you like that blog or why don’t you have a favorite blog? Places I Want to Travel To There are a lot of places I would like to go visit. I basically have a list for places to visit. Here, I’ll show you the list.
Image Credit: Wikimedia Greece The reason I want to go to Greece is because of their culture long ago. As in culture I mean their belief in gods like, Zeus, Hades, Poseidon, Ares and Hera. There is a bunch and I know most of the major gods, but the minor gods? Not so much. Another thing I would like to visit there is the Athena Parthenos. It is located in the Parthenon in Athens (which is the capital of Greece). I mostly want to visit Greece because of the architecture. Image Credit: Pixabay Rome Basically the same reason with Greece. I want to visit Rome because of its architecture. I just want to go out there and take a bunch of pictures of the architecture and stuff. Rome has the same gods I believe, just that the names are different and the gods have a little difference with personalities. Instead of Zeus you have Jupiter. Instead of Poseidon you have Neptune. Instead of Ares you have Mars. And instead of Hermes you have Mercury. Image Credit: Pixabay Paris Ah, Paris! The city of lights! The reason I want to visit Paris is, of course, the Eifel Tower. I remember as a small kid, I would think Paris is the city of love not lights. Now I think they’re both, or just the city of lights. I am interested in French language too. It’s so…nice. I like how you pronounce the words. It’s fun to try. I hope you know where I want to go now! Any questions? Do you have any suggestions on places to go?
My favorite subjects would be: Image Credit: Pixabay Art: In Art we my class is doing a project on spray painting. I like spray painting it’s fun. It let’s me express how I’m feeling. If I use light colors, it means I’m in a good mood. If I use dark colors, well then I’m in a bad mood. My first painting was all dark colors with just a tiny bit of yellow in it. My final one was absolutely beautiful! Image Credit: Pixabay Science: Science is wonderful. It’s fun because we get to explore more of the world we live in and also about ourselves. Image Credit: Pixabay Social Studies: In Social Studies, my class and I are doing presentations on African countries. When we are done with Africa, we will move towards Asia. I like this subject because it’s fun to make these presentations and I like learning about other countries and their history. Image Credit: Pixabay Music:
Who doesn’t like music? I like music because I like to sing. In Music we are doing presentation about harpsichords, pianos, pipe organs, and accordions. I did pipe organs and as an example on how it sounds like. We put in a video of Phantom of The Opera. It sounded wonderful! Glee Club (After school activity): Glee Club is like a choir. We sing songs and sometimes go outside and sing. In Glee Club we sing songs like Counting Stars, Brave, When You Believe and many more! It’s fun to sing. At home I would always listen to music and if there is a song I really like. I try remembering the lyrics then sing it to myself at school. What are your favorite subjects? Comment down below. Image Credit: clipart-library.com I usually stay in school for a bit long afterschool, because my dad, who is the principal of the school, is usually busy in his office.
After the school is over, I go to the canteen and buy a snack. Then I go back to the assembly area and chat with my friends. They all go home early so I just walk them to the bicycle park and chat with them. Then when they’re all back home I go find someone else to play with. If I can’t find anyone I would go to the small whiteboard in the assembly area that is used for stuff like “Thankful Thursday – I am thankful for:” and erase everything. Then I would either draw cartoons or write the title for the next day so the teacher doesn’t have to write it. If not that then I would just go someplace cool and lay down, like the office or my dad’s office. I really don’t do much afterschool. It really depends on how I’m feeling or who is there to play with. What do you do afterschool? Comment below! About Commenting Image Credit: Pixabay What have I enjoyed about commenting?
I have enjoyed telling the blogger what I think of his/her post. I also enjoy relating to my own encounters. It really does help me bring back good memories. What is annoying about commenting? I absolutely hate it when I try typing in a word and the computer skips a letter. Also, it’s annoying when I try posting a comment and the Internet is slow, or it already posted the comments and I can’t find it with the other comments. It makes me think I didn’t post it, so I post it again. Then it shows both of the comments. How have I found posts to comment on? Usually, I find them by going to the blog page of a blogger who commented on my blog. Other times, I look at the newest flip board e-magazine. And if see any interesting posts in it I open it. If I like it I comment on it. Are my posts getting a lot of quality comments? I am happy to say yes. One of the best comments I have is from Lois. Here is what he said: “Hey Kem, I was intrigued by your blog because nutrition has been a huge interest of mine in the past years. I looked at the sites that you mentioned and I am not going to put what they say in question; and, although I agree getting junk food once in a while isn’t so bad (even top athletes do it; they call it “cheat meal” and it’s a way to accelerate their metabolisms before going back to their diets), it might be a very bad idea to consume junk foods regularly. It causes a variety of cardiovascular diseases because of the high concentration of LDL, or diseases like diabetes because of insulin resistance – and, additionally, isn’t a school’s job to teach us what healthy habits are, so that we can be productive, prospering adults in the future? What do you think?” I replied to this and if you would like to see what I said, click here. I am very happy that nobody is using abbreviations. And that everyone is using correct spelling and grammar. No one is saying bad words or being either mean or rude. Thank you for following the rules of commenting I told everyone about. See you next time! Oh! And is there anything that annoys you about commenting or anything that you like about commenting? Image Credit: develare.com Flipboard Magazine Posts Nook's Post
Hello there Nook! I must admit that when I was a small kid, I used to think “Oh! French fries was first made in France so it was named French fries!”. I asked my parents and they said that French fries did not originate from France. Since that day I’ve been wondering, “Why are French fries called French fries if it’s not French?”. I found your blog post and I immediately opened it. I hoped to have my question I have asked myself for years, answered. Fortunately it has been. I understand now how French fries got its name. Thank you so much Nook! Have a nice day! I remember as a small kid, every time I saw kids with a big stomach, I would ask the teacher “Why is he starving? He doesn’t look that way”, and the answer I got was “Because of malnutrition. Which make their stomach big”. When I found out, the thought I had was, “I’m lucky I have enough nutrition”. I agree that we could help solve world hunger by donating food to all people who live their life with hunger or starvation. Another way is by not wasting food and only taking the amount of food we need. Have a wonderful day Jenn! Do you like writing these novels? Because I do! Well, first comes my love for music then comes my loves for animals, then comes writing stories. It’s fun creating stories. It allows us to explore our imagination and see how far it goes. I especially like putting in details so readers can imagine our story in their head like a movie. I like to read an action, comedy, or adventure story, especially Rick Riordan, Christopher Paolini, and Erin Hunter as the authors. They inspire me and give me new ideas, making me create different stories inside of my head. What inspires you to write a story? Have a nice day! "Despite great strides made by the international women’s rights movement over many years, women and girls around the world are still married as children or trafficked into forced labor and sex slavery. They are refused access to education and political participation, and some are trapped in conflicts where rape is perpetrated as a weapon of war. Around the world, deaths related to pregnancy and childbirth are needlessly high, and women are prevented from making deeply personal choices in their private lives" https://www.hrw.org/topic/womens-rights |
